Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) allows us to simulate and analyze complex fluid flows, predicting the behavior of engineered products and real-world systems. In the example shown, CFD models the flow and temperature of water (left) and air (right) in a proof-of-concept cooling application.
Time-dependent simulation models allow scientists and engineers to track dynamic processes such as pressure and temperature changes or material deformation. The example above illustrates the simulated cooling of a metal slab through direct contact with a water-cooled plate and ambient airflow.
